The Connected Kinders were busy writers this week. The students wrote beautiful sentences about snowflakes. We used giant snowflakes to brainstorm adjectives and verbs about snowflakes. The students came up with these six words to describe snowflakes: cold, wet, little, unique, white, and frosty. They also thought of six verbs: fly, melt, freeze, fall, blow, and stick. Then, from the giant snowflakes, the kids composed sentences. Frosty snowflakes blow. Wet snowflakes melt. Last, the kids made their own unique snowflake from a coffee filter to illustrate their amazing sentences.
